Neurological Impairment

Neurological impairment refers to a group of disorders that relate to the central nervous system comprising the brain and spinal cord. The most commonly recognised diagnostic conditions are epilepsy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and Tourette’s Syndrome. There are a number of effects resulting from a neurological impairment and these could include an individual’s ability to speak, their motor skills, vision, muscle activity, memory and learning ability.
